Prime Minister Narendra Modi resumed his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on June 30, thanking citizens for their unwavering faith in the Constitution and democratic system during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Addressing the nation, he expressed joy at reconnecting with the people after a break since February.
Modi said, ‘Today, finally the day has come for which we all were waiting for since February. Through ‘Mann Ki Baat’, I am once again amongst you, amongst my family members.’ He mentioned missing the conversations with the public and appreciated the messages he received during the break.
The Prime Minister congratulated the Election Commission and everyone involved in the 2024 election, noting it was the largest election ever held in the world. He also highlighted the significance of ‘Hool Diwas,’ celebrated by tribal people to honor the bravery of Sidhu-Kanhu, who opposed British rule in 1855.
The 2024 Lok Sabha elections were conducted in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, with the counting completed on June 4, leading to the formation of the 18th Lok Sabha.
