PM Modi Renews BJP Membership and Launches Sakriya Sadasyata Abhiyan

On October 16, Prime Minister Narendra Modi renewed his membership as the first active member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He launched the Sakriya Sadasyata Abhiyan, a campaign aimed at strengthening the party at the grassroots level. PM Modi emphasized the importance of active participation, stating that a Karyakarta must register 50 members to be eligible for elections and other opportunities within the party.

Earlier, on September 2, PM Modi initiated the BJP’s 2024 membership drive, ‘Sanghatan Parva, Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024,’ encouraging party workers to engage with the youth. The drive aligns with the implementation of 33% reservation in legislative assemblies and Parliament. PM Modi highlighted BJP’s commitment to democratic processes and its efforts to meet public expectations.

On the first day of the drive, 47 lakh members were registered. By the end of the first phase, from September 2 to September 25, 6 crore members had joined, showcasing the party’s extensive reach. Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh each registered over 1 crore members, while Gujarat and Assam enrolled 85 lakh and 50 lakh members, respectively. Smaller states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, and Tripura also showed significant progress.

The second phase of the ‘Sadasyata Abhiyan,’ from October 1 to 15, focuses on areas lagging in membership, ensuring enrollment in every Shakti Kendra and Booth through detailed outreach efforts.
