Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Darbhanga, Bihar, to lay the foundation stone for AIIMS Darbhanga and inaugurate development projects worth Rs 12,000 crore. He emphasized the NDA government’s commitment to the welfare and development of Bihar.

AIIMS Darbhanga: A Boost to Healthcare

The new AIIMS will include a super-speciality hospital, AYUSH block, medical and nursing colleges, and residential facilities. It aims to enhance healthcare services in Bihar and nearby regions.

Infrastructure Development

PM Modi inaugurated National Highway projects worth Rs 5,070 crore, including the four-lane Galgalia-Araria section of NH-327E, providing an alternate route to West Bengal. He also laid the foundation for eight National Highway projects and a railway project worth over Rs 1,740 crore.

Railway and Energy Initiatives

Railway projects worth over Rs 1,520 crore were dedicated, including the Jhanjharpur-Laukaha Bazar Rail section conversion and Darbhanga Bypass Railway Line. In the energy sector, PM Modi initiated a City Gas Distribution network in five districts and a Bitumen manufacturing unit at Barauni Refinery.
