PM Modi Launches BJP’s 2024 Membership Drive ‘Sanghatan Parva, Sadasyata Abhiyan’

New Delhi, September 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) 2024 membership drive called ‘Sanghatan Parva, Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024’ by renewing his membership. He encouraged party workers to connect with the youth, especially those aged 18-25, to inform them about the country’s past and the BJP’s vision.

PM Modi emphasized the importance of including women in the membership drive, aligning it with the implementation of 33% reservation for women in Legislative Assemblies and Parliament. He stated, “This membership drive isn’t just a ritual. It’s an expansion of our family… It isn’t a game of numbers.”

He recalled the efforts made by the BJP and its predecessor, Bharatiya Jana Sangh, to bring a new political culture to India. He shared his early experiences in the party, painting the BJP’s election symbol, the Lotus, on walls and believing it would one day bloom in people’s hearts.

PM Modi highlighted the BJP’s commitment to democratic values and internal democracy, contrasting it with other political parties. He also turned emotional while recalling the struggles of party workers, including those who went to jail for their beliefs.

He urged BJP members to make border villages strongholds of the party and expressed confidence that the membership campaign would break all previous records. PM Modi received his membership renewal certificate from BJP President JP Nadda.

Other leaders, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Health Minister JP Nadda, also spoke at the event. Amit Shah praised the BJP’s transparency and honesty in its membership drive, while Rajnath Singh highlighted the party’s credibility and commitment to delivering on its promises.

The membership drive will be conducted in two phases: September 2 to September 25 and October 1 to October 15, targeting specific milestones to ensure comprehensive reach across the country.
