PM Modi Criticizes Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir, Promises Development and Statehood
Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized opposition parties in Jammu and Kashmir, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing them of hiding behind slogans of love while promoting hate. He warned that their policies would lead to unrest and deprivation of rights for certain communities.
Addressing a public meeting in Doda, Modi attacked the Congress party, National Conference, and People’s Democratic Party. He claimed that if their poll promises were implemented, the region would return to days of school burnings and stone-pelting. Modi emphasized that these parties want to restore Article 370, which he argued would harm the Pahadi, SC, ST, and OBC communities by depriving them of reservations.
Modi also criticized the opposition for keeping the Constitution in their pockets to hide their misdeeds and for depriving certain communities of their rights. He highlighted the BJP’s efforts to grant reservations and voting rights to these communities.
Modi further attacked Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge for his recent remarks and assured that the BJP prioritizes the rights of all residents of Jammu and Kashmir. He promised to safeguard these rights and reinforce statehood to the region.
The Prime Minister highlighted the work done by the BJP-led government in connecting remote parts of Jammu and Kashmir by rail. He mentioned that the central government is working to provide better education and healthcare, including free treatment up to Rs 7 lakhs for poor families and increased financial support for farmers.
Modi announced the Pandit Premnath Dogra Rozgar Yojana, which aims to create new employment opportunities. He also promised travel allowances for college students and a terror-free, tourist-friendly Jammu and Kashmir.
Modi urged people to vote for BJP in the upcoming elections, promising that the BJP’s resolve and public support will make Jammu and Kashmir peaceful, safe, and prosperous. The elections are scheduled for September 18, September 25, and October 1, with counting set for October 8.
