Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a visit to Washim, Maharashtra, criticized the Congress party for alleged connections to a major drug syndicate. He claimed that the former chairman of the RTI Cell of Delhi Pradesh Congress was linked to a Rs 5,600 crore cocaine shipment. Modi accused Congress of trying to push youth towards drugs to fund elections.

Allegations Against Congress

PM Modi highlighted a recent investigation by Delhi police into an international drug syndicate, suggesting Congress’s involvement. He warned the public to be aware of these activities.

Critique of Congress’s Ideology

Modi accused Congress of being influenced by “urban-naxalites” and criticized their attitude towards minorities and the Banjara community. He claimed Congress has always maintained a derogatory stance towards Dalits, backward classes, and tribals.

Support for Farmers

PM Modi announced the release of the 18th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, transferring over Rs 20,000 crore to 9.5 crore farmers. He praised Maharashtra’s “double engine government” for providing additional support to farmers through the Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi Yojana.
