PM Modi Criticizes Congress in Haryana Rally, Urges Unity and Voting

Palwal (Haryana) [India], October 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public rally in Palwal, Haryana, where he criticized the Congress party for its caste politics and alleged that it aims to divide the country by promoting caste and religion-based divisions.

PM Modi’s Accusations Against Congress

PM Modi accused Congress of not solving the country’s problems but instead focusing on establishing its own family. He mentioned that Congress hindered the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, did not fully implement the Constitution in Jammu and Kashmir, and deprived women of reservation in Parliament and Assembly. He also criticized Congress for keeping Muslim women entangled in the issue of triple talaq.

He stated, “Congress wants to crush patriotism from this country by propagating casteism, confronting one community against another.”

Support for BJP and Voting Appeal

PM Modi expressed gratitude for the support of Haryana CM and urged voters in Jammu and Kashmir to participate in the last phase of elections. He highlighted the large turnout at the rally as a sign of support for BJP in Haryana.

He said, “Today’s gathering shows the result of the Haryana election… We are grateful for your blessings and support.”

Criticism of Congress’s Promises

PM Modi accused Congress of making false promises and not working hard. He mentioned that Congress’s politics is limited to false promises, while BJP focuses on hard work and results. He also raised the issue of infighting within Congress and claimed that Dalits, backward, and deprived communities are the most dissatisfied with the party.

He alleged that Congress plans to end reservations for Dalits and backward classes, citing actions taken in Karnataka as an example.

Call for Unity and Voting

PM Modi called for unity among the people of Haryana and urged them to vote for the future of their children, the safety of their daughters, and new investments and jobs in the state. He emphasized the importance of voting for good roads and better irrigation.

He said, “Today the whole of Haryana has to take a pledge – all those who love India will remain united, we are one and we will vote unitedly for the country.”

Haryana CM’s Remarks

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini echoed PM Modi’s sentiments, stating that Congress follows the principle of ‘lie and rule,’ contrasting it with the British ‘divide and rule’ strategy. He highlighted the improvements made under the BJP government, such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, water taps, toilets, gas connections, electricity, and healthcare under the Ayushman Yojana.

He said, “We have changed the lives of the poor who were left to fend for themselves by the previous governments… All this has happened in 10 years, under the BJP government.”

Upcoming Elections

Haryana will go to the polls on October 5 to elect its 90-member state legislative assembly, with counting set to take place on October 8. In the 2019 elections, the BJP emerged as the single largest party, securing 40 seats, while Congress won 30 seats.
