PM Modi Criticizes Congress and Rahul Gandhi Over Election Results

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a veiled jibe at the Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, over the Lok Sabha election results. Modi stated that Congress and its ecosystem are trying to convince people that they have defeated the ruling party, but in reality, it’s like consoling a child after a fall.

Third Biggest Defeat for Congress

Modi pointed out that this is the third biggest defeat in Congress’s history, marking the first time they have not crossed the 100-seat mark three times in a row. He suggested that Congress should accept its defeat and respect the people’s mandate instead of celebrating a false victory.

Congress’s Performance

Modi compared Congress’s claims to a child boasting about getting 99 marks out of 543, highlighting their failure. He also mentioned that Congress has zero seats in 13 states but still considers itself victorious.

Dependence on Allies

Modi labeled Congress as a ‘par-jeevi’ or parasitic party, stating that most of their 99 seats were won due to their allies’ efforts. He noted that in states where Congress fought alone, their performance was dismal, winning only 2 out of 64 seats.
