PM Modi Celebrates Janajatiya Gaurav Diwas in Jamui
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Jamui, Bihar, to celebrate Janajatiya Gaurav Diwas, honoring tribal leader Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s 150th birth anniversary. During the event, PM Modi took a selfie with a tribal couple, Dharmadurai and Ezhilarasi, from the Irula tribe in Tamil Nadu. The couple had set up a stall showcasing tribal products.

PM Modi paid floral tributes to a statue of Birsa Munda and received a warm welcome with traditional dance performances. He wore a white kurta and churidar with an olive green ethnic jacket.

The Prime Minister announced development projects worth Rs 6,640 crore, focusing on tribal welfare, infrastructure improvement, training, and employment opportunities. He also launched the Dharti Aaba, Janjatiya Gram, and Utkarsh Abhiyan schemes to transform over 60,000 tribal villages.
