PM Modi Assures Help After Landslides in Wayanad, Kerala
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday after massive landslides hit Wayanad, Kerala, due to heavy rainfall. PM Modi assured all possible help from the Centre and announced financial aid of Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured.
At least four people have died, and several are feared trapped. Rescue operations are ongoing, involving 250 members from Fire and Rescue, Civil Defence, NDRF, and Local Emergency Response Teams. Two Air Force helicopters are also coordinating the rescue efforts.
