PM Modi and Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez to Inaugurate TATA Aircraft Complex in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Gujarat on Monday, where he will join Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez to inaugurate the TATA Aircraft Complex. This facility, located at the TATA Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) campus, will manufacture C-295 aircraft. Out of 56 aircraft in the C-295 program, 16 will be delivered from Spain by Airbus, while 40 will be produced in India by Tata Advanced Systems Ltd. This marks India’s first private sector Final Assembly Line (FAL) for military aircraft, involving a complete ecosystem from manufacturing to maintenance.

In addition to Tatas, public sector units like Bharat Electronics Ltd. and Bharat Dynamics Ltd., along with private enterprises, will contribute to this program. The foundation stone for the Vadodara FAL was laid by PM Modi in October 2022.

PM Modi’s Visit to Vadodara and Amreli

Later, PM Modi will visit Laxmi Vilas Palace in Vadodara and then travel to Amreli to inaugurate Bharat Mata Sarovar. He will also launch various development projects worth over Rs 4,800 crores, benefiting districts like Amreli, Jamnagar, Morbi, and others. These include road projects worth more than Rs 2,800 crores, such as the four-laning of NH 151, NH 151A, and NH 51, and the Junagadh bypass.

Rail and Water Supply Projects

The Prime Minister will dedicate the Bhuj-Naliya Rail Gauge Conversion Project, costing around Rs 1,100 crores, featuring numerous bridges to boost Kachchh district’s development. Additionally, he will inaugurate water supply projects worth over Rs 700 crores in Amreli, including the Navda to Chavand bulk pipeline, benefiting millions across multiple districts. The Pasavi Group Augmentation Water Supply Scheme Phase 2 in Bhavnagar will also be initiated.

Tourism Development

PM Modi will lay the foundation for tourism projects, including transforming the Karli Recharge Reservoir in Porbandar into a sustainable eco-tourism destination.
