PM Modi and Poland’s PM Donald Tusk Announce Youth Exchange Program
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the launch of a youth exchange program between India and Poland. Under this initiative, 20 young people from Poland will visit India each year.
During a press meeting with Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk, PM Modi emphasized Poland’s rich tradition in Indology and Sanskrit. He said, “Poland has a very old and rich tradition of Indology and Sanskrit. The strong foundation of our relations was laid by our deep interest in Indian culture and languages.”
Modi also mentioned the respect for the Maharaja of Kolhapur in Poland and announced the Jam Saheb of Nawanagar Youth Exchange Program to honor his memory.
PM Modi arrived in Poland on Wednesday as part of his two-nation visit, which will also include Ukraine. He noted that India and Poland are celebrating the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic relations and aim to convert this into a strategic partnership.
Modi highlighted several areas for cooperation, including economic ties, urban infrastructure, and technology. He invited Polish companies to join India’s initiatives in clean coal technology, renewable energy, and Artificial Intelligence, among others.
