PM Modi and Officials Celebrate 10th International Yoga Day Across India

Union Minister Jitendra Singh, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi – PK Mishra, and other officials performed Yoga on the occasion of the 10th International Day of Yoga in New Delhi.

The celebrations were held at the Prime Minister’s Office South Block in the national capital. Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and BL Verma also performed yoga at an event in Delhi at Thyagaraj Sports Complex.

In West Bengal, the 41 battalion of SSB, Frontier SSB Siliguri, sector SSB Ranidangi, and other security forces celebrated International Yoga Day with the Armed Police Force, Nepal on Mechi Bridge, which connects India with Nepal. Indian Army jawans performed Yoga at Col Sonam Wangchuk Stadium in Leh, Ladakh.

PM Modi congratulated everyone on the 10th International Day of Yoga and noted the global support for Yoga Day, with 177 nations backing India’s proposal at the United Nations. He performed Yoga at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar and spoke about the growing Yoga economy and the theme ‘Yoga for Self and Society.’

Since 2015, PM Modi has led the International Day of Yoga celebrations at various iconic locations, including Kartavya Path in Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Ranchi, Lucknow, Mysuru, and even the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
