The 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) was inaugurated by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The event, running from November 14 to 27, highlights India’s culture, trade, and innovation, offering a global platform for business collaboration.

Government’s Vision for ITPO

Goyal announced plans to develop the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) into a world-class agency, aiming to position India as a top MICE destination. Expansion of trade facilities is planned in cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, and Chennai.

Theme and Digital Initiatives

The fair’s theme, “Viksit Bharat @2047,” aligns with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a prosperous India by 2047. Goyal emphasized digital transactions and proposed kiosks for smooth operations.

International Participation and Exhibitors

This year’s fair covers 107,000 square meters with over 3,500 exhibitors, including international participants from China, Egypt, and the UAE. Partner States Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, and Focus State Jharkhand, showcase their trade potential.

Visitor Information

With an expected daily footfall of nearly one lakh visitors, the fair is open for business from November 14 to 18 and for the general public from November 19 to 27. Tickets are available at metro stations, mobile apps, and online, with free entry for senior citizens and differently-abled visitors.
