Pilgrims from Across India Embark on Amarnath Yatra Amid Tight Security
Pilgrims from various parts of India, including Punjab, Haryana, and Bengaluru, have embarked on the Amarnath Yatra from the Pantha Chowk base camp in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The Yatra, organized by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, follows two routes through Pahalgam and Baltal.
Vijay Kumar from Jalandhar, Punjab, praised the facilities at the base camp and expressed no worries about security. Vinita Singh from Haryana was excited and appreciated the arrangements. Prasad from Bengaluru, on his fifth visit, admired the valley’s beauty and encouraged others to visit.
Despite increased terror attacks in the region, pilgrims praised the security and facilities provided. The Yatra, which began on June 29, is set to conclude on August 19.
