Pfizer is enhancing its R&D capabilities with 1,500 employees in Chennai and a research center at IIT Madras. The company is also establishing global capability centers in India, including a new analytics center in Mumbai.

Approximately 70% of Pfizer’s products sold in India are manufactured locally, either at their Goa plant or through 18 contract partners. The company is also focusing on adult vaccinations, having launched a specialized center in Gurugram and planning more such centers.

Pfizer, in collaboration with NIPER-Ahmedabad, the Department of Pharmaceuticals, NITI Aayog, and Social Alpha, announced the winners of the NIPER-A edition of Pfizer’s INDovation program for healthcare start-ups.
