Peace Meeting Held After Violence in Ganda Twisa, Tripura
In Tripura’s Dhalai district, a peace meeting was held after violence in Ganda Twisa led to the destruction of 30-40 shops and 20-25 houses. Four people were arrested. District Magistrate Saju Vaheed and Superintendent of Police Avinash Rai assured local businessmen of support and compensation. Security camps have been established, and investigations are ongoing. The violence stemmed from a scuffle on July 7, which led to heightened emotions and subsequent arson and vandalism.
