PDP’s Bashir Mir Criticizes Omar Abdullah; Mehbooba Mufti Holds Roadshow in Jammu

PDP candidate Bashir Mir from Ganderbal Assembly Constituency criticized National Conference leader Omar Abdullah, stating that people know they won’t meet him even if they vote for him. Mir emphasized that middle-class and below-poverty-line people need a representative they can access.

Meanwhile, PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti held a roadshow in Jammu city to support PDP candidate Aditya Gupta from Jammu East Assembly Constituency. She criticized the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that the BJP won’t win more than 15 seats. Mufti also accused the BJP of creating unrest in Kashmir and criticized Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.

Voting for the second phase of Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir began with over 25 lakh eligible voters deciding the fate of 239 candidates across 26 constituencies. Prominent candidates include Omar Abdullah, BJP chief Ravinder Raina, and Congress president Tariq Hamid Karra. The final phase of polls will be held on October 1, with results announced on October 8.
