PCB Allows Azam Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Amir, and Imad Wasim to Play in CPL

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to allow four players to take part in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), which will start this weekend. The players who received No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) are:

  • Azam Khan
  • Fakhar Zaman
  • Mohammad Amir
  • Imad Wasim

However, young opener Saim Ayub’s request for an NOC was denied because he is currently involved with the Pakistan team for their ongoing home Test series against Bangladesh.

In the CPL, Azam Khan will play for the Guyana Amazon Warriors, while Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Amir, and Imad Wasim will represent the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.

Last month, the PCB denied NOCs to Shaheen Shah Afridi, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan for the Global T20 Canada. This decision was made due to Pakistan’s busy international schedule, which includes nine ICC World Test Championship matches and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Pakistan is currently trailing 1-0 in their home Test series against Bangladesh after a 10-wicket defeat in Rawalpindi. They aim to bounce back in the second Test starting on August 30.
