Pawan Kalyan and Daughter Visit Tirumala Temple Amid Prasad Controversy
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, along with his daughter Polena Anjana, visited the Tirumala Tirupati Temple on Wednesday. Before their darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy, Polena Anjana signed a mandatory declaration form for non-Hindus, expressing her faith. Pawan Kalyan also signed the form as his daughter is a minor. He began his journey to the temple on foot from Alipiri.
Earlier, amid the ‘Tirupati Prasad row,’ Pawan Kalyan stated that his government would investigate violations from the past five years, not just the Prasad issue. This followed the Supreme Court questioning Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu about public allegations regarding adulterated ghee in prasadam.
Pawan Kalyan emphasized his commitment to the Sanathana Dharma Parirakshana Trust, noting the desecration of 219 temples over the past 5-6 years, including the vandalism of Lord Ram’s statue in Ramatheertham. He stressed the importance of addressing these issues differently and at a higher level.
