Paul Collingwood Praises Jasprit Bumrah Ahead of India vs England T20 World Cup Semifinal

Former England cricketer Paul Collingwood has called Indian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah the ‘best cricketer in the world’ ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup semifinal clash between India and England. The match will be a rematch of the 2022 semifinal, where England won by 10 wickets.

India, led by Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, has a stronger batting lineup and more varied attack this time. However, England, with Jos Buttler and Phil Salt in great form, will be tough to beat.

Collingwood emphasized Bumrah’s skill and impact on the Indian team, but suggested that England might try to attack him to gain an advantage. Bumrah has taken 11 wickets in six matches in the tournament, with an average of 8.54 and an economy rate just above 4.

England aims to become the first men’s team to retain a T20 World Cup, while India seeks its first T20 World Cup win since 2007 and its first ICC trophy since 2013.
