Pat Cummins Plans to Extend Captaincy Until 2027
Pat Cummins, the captain of the Australian cricket team, has announced that he plans to continue leading the team longer than he initially expected. Originally considering stepping down by 2025, Cummins now aims to extend his captaincy until 2027. Under his leadership, Australia has achieved significant success, including winning the World Test Championship and the ODI World Cup in 2023.
Since taking over from Aaron Finch and Tim Paine, Cummins has led Australia to victory in 17 out of 28 Test matches and 12 out of 15 ODIs.
