Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar Criticizes Imran Khan and PTI
Islamabad [Pakistan], August 25: Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its founder, Imran Khan, of causing disruption in the country. He called the party ‘Tehreek-e-Inteshar’ (Disruption Party) and claimed that PTI was involved in activities harmful to national interests.
During a press conference, Tarar said, “The Tehreek-e-Inteshar has consistently propagated against our national institutions and has never hesitated to damage the country’s interests.” He accused Imran Khan of dividing society and inciting internal conflicts within PTI.
Tarar also mentioned internal strife within PTI, alleging that Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, had told PTI leader Rauf Hassan that Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, was spreading false news. He said, “Bushra Bibi is spreading a false narrative for sympathy.” He highlighted that various factions existed within PTI, with disinformation cells actively operating.
He said, “One disinformation cell was run by Raoof Hasan and Aleema Khan, while another was being managed by Bushra Bibi.” Tarar emphasized that these internal divisions were signs of chaos within PTI and warned that politics of hatred and division never end well.
Meanwhile, PTI has formed a committee led by former President Arif Alvi to address internal rifts. The committee will meet with PTI leaders and stakeholders to hear their concerns and submit recommendations within a week.
