The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in Pakistan has been busy with 10 major operations across the country. They managed to seize a whopping 373 kilograms of drugs, which are worth 340 million Pakistani Rupees (PKR). They also arrested 10 people during these operations.

Key Operations and Seizures

Here are some of the significant operations:

  • At Lahore Airport, ANF officials caught a passenger heading to Jeddah with 783 grams of ice.
  • In Karachi, a parcel destined for Australia was found to contain 1.140 kilograms of ice and 50 grams of heroin.
  • In the Chaman area, 190 kilograms of heroin were recovered.
  • In Pasni and Gwadar, 100 kilograms of hashish and 22 kilograms of opium were seized.
  • On the M-1 Motorway in Islamabad, 31.2 kilograms of hashish and 1.2 kilograms of opium were found in a vehicle, leading to an arrest.
  • In Quetta, 12 kilograms of hashish were recovered from two suspects near a restaurant.
  • In Rawalpindi, 6 kilograms of hashish were found on Peshawar Road.
  • On RCD Road Hub, 6 kilograms of hashish were seized from three suspects.
  • Near a university in Lahore, 2.6 kilograms of hashish and 260 grams of opium were recovered from two suspects.

Previous Operations

In June, the Airport Security Forces (ASF) intercepted a passenger at Karachi airport trying to smuggle 5.7 kilograms of hashish to Doha. The drugs were cleverly hidden in containers, but ASF personnel found them during a routine inspection.

All the arrested individuals are facing charges under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations are still ongoing.
