During a meeting with Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, PM Sharif stressed the need for swift measures to restore peace and stability.

Governor Kundi has called for more federal support to tackle the deteriorating conditions. In a recent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session, opposition members criticized the provincial government for poor performance, corruption, and failing to maintain order. ANP member Nisar Baz Khan urged democratic institutions to uphold parliamentary supremacy and constitutional adherence. He expressed concern over rampant lawlessness, police challenges, and declining public morale.

Khan highlighted frequent attacks on checkpoints in Bajaur and questioned the government’s public safety strategy. He also criticized the lack of progress on major projects and the shortage of doctors in Bajaur’s hospitals.
