Operation Bajrang: One Terrorist Killed by Security Forces in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir

In the Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have killed one terrorist during an ongoing anti-infiltration operation named ‘Bajrang.’ The operation began on June 22 after receiving specific intelligence inputs. The Chinar Corps confirmed the incident, noting that the operation is still ongoing.

The encounter started when army personnel noticed suspicious movement along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri sector. This latest infiltration attempt comes amid a series of major terrorist incidents reported in Jammu and Kashmir over the past 15 days.

Earlier, on June 19, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in the Baramulla district. The Chinar Corps-Indian Army stated that a joint operation was launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Hadipora area of PD Sopore, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists.
