Omar Abdullah Talks About BJP’s Possible Alliances in Jammu and Kashmir Elections

Ganderbal (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 8: National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah said that the BJP is keeping the door open for post-poll alliances with parties such as People’s Conference and Apni Party. Addressing party workers in Shalbugh, Ganderbal, Omar mentioned that Home Minister Amit Shah did not rule out these parties in a recent press conference.

Omar Abdullah is contesting on two seats, and independent candidates have also filed nominations against him. He claimed that the BJP might form a government with independent candidates if needed.

Union Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah criticized the Congress and National Conference’s manifesto, accusing them of wanting to spread terrorism, snatch reservations from Gujjars, Bakarwal, Paharis, and Dalits, release criminals, and start LOC trade with Pakistan. Shah emphasized that there will be no talks with Pakistan until peace is restored.

The BJP has made 25 promises focusing on women, youths, Kashmiri Pandits, restoring temples, and wiping out terrorism. The Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections will be held in three phases on September 18, 25, and October 1.
