On Friday evening, Omar Abdullah, Vice President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, met with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in Srinagar. Abdullah submitted letters of support from various parties, including Congress, CPM, AAP, and independents, to stake a claim for forming the government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Abdullah mentioned that the swearing-in ceremony could take place on Tuesday, October 15, or Wednesday, October 16, as the paperwork might take 2-3 days to complete.
