Omar Abdullah mentioned ongoing discussions with the Congress to secure their letter of support. Additionally, four independent MLAs have pledged their support to the National Conference, bringing the total to 42 MLAs. Once the Congress’s support is confirmed, Abdullah plans to approach Raj Bhavan to form the government.

Abdullah emphasized the importance of passing a resolution to engage in talks with the Union government to restore Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood. He stressed the need for peaceful cooperation with the Lieutenant Governor for the benefit of the people.
