In New Delhi’s Mahendru Enclave, an old banquet hall collapsed, resulting in one death and two minor injuries. The incident occurred around 3 PM, and the building, which had a tilted telephone tower on its roof, was in a damaged condition.

Delhi Police confirmed the casualties, stating, “One person died and two others received minor injuries in the building collapse incident.”
Fire Service Response
Assistant Regional Fire Officer, CL Meena, said, “We received a call for a collapse of a building. Three vehicles were sent by the Delhi Fire Service. This was in a huge area. It was a banquet hall building. The building was very old and it also had a telephone tower on its roof. The tower is tilted on one side. Three injured have been hospitalised. The search operation is going on to see if anyone is trapped. The reason is not yet known but it was an old closed building in a damaged condition.”
Eyewitness Account
An eyewitness and neighbour, Paras, said that this was an old banquet hall that had collapsed. It fell around 3 o’clock. Paras ran away from the spot after seeing the incident. His child also suffered scratches. Some repair work was going on in the rear part of the building, and news came that some people were buried after the collapse.
