A Comoros-flagged oil tanker named Prestige Falcon has capsized off the coast of Oman. The tanker had 13 Indian and 3 Sri Lankan crew members on board.
Location of the Incident
The incident occurred 25 nautical miles southeast of Ras Madrakah, which is near the Omani port of Duqm. The tanker was heading to the Yemeni port of Aden.

The Prestige Falcon is a 117-metre-long oil products tanker built in 2007. Such small tankers are generally used for short voyages.

Earlier, on November 27, a cargo ship carrying 14 crew members, including Indians, sank off the coast of Lesbos island in Greece due to high-speed winds. The ship, named Raptor, was traveling from Dekheila, Egypt to Istanbul with a load of salt.
