Odisha Police Use AI for Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra

Odisha Police will use AI technology on a pilot basis for effective traffic and crowd management during the Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra, which will take place on July 7. Additional DGP, Odisha, Dayal Gangwar, explained that AI-based CCTV coverage and drones will be used to identify traffic jams and blind spots.

AI Technology for Traffic Management

This is the first time AI technology is being used for this purpose. Around 40 CCTV points will be monitored using AI, and drones will assist in identifying problem areas and helping police officers manage the crowd.

Miniature Chariots by L Eswar Rao

On July 6, Bhubaneswar-based miniature artist L Eswar Rao created eco-friendly chariots of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Balabhadra using paper and incense sticks. The deities are made from tamarind seeds, and the chariots are two inches tall. Rao has been practicing this art for 25 years and has crafted many fascinating miniature sculptures.
