Odisha Minister Suryabanshi Suraj Predicts BJP Victory in Jharkhand Elections

In Bhubaneswar, Odisha Minister Suryabanshi Suraj expressed confidence that the people of Jharkhand are dissatisfied with Hemant Soren’s government and will vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming assembly elections. Suraj highlighted that many people from Odisha reside in Jharkhand and believe that the BJP has fulfilled its promises, unlike Soren’s government.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren challenged the BJP to confront him directly in the elections, accusing them of attacking him “from behind like the cowardly British.” Soren’s remarks were made in a post on X, urging the BJP to face him head-on.

The Jharkhand Assembly elections are scheduled in two phases on November 13 and 20, with results to be announced on November 23. The assembly consists of 81 seats, and 2.6 crore voters are eligible to participate, including a significant number of first-time and young voters.

In the previous elections, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) secured 30 seats, the BJP 25, and the Congress 16. In 2014, the BJP had a stronger showing with 37 seats, while JMM and Congress won 19 and 6 seats, respectively.
