Odisha Governor’s Son Accused of Assaulting Raj Bhavan Employee
Incident Details
Baikuntha Pradhan, an employee at Raj Bhavan in Odisha, has alleged that he was assaulted by Lalit Kumar, the son of Governor Raghubar Das, along with six other individuals on the night of July 7. Pradhan has filed a complaint at the Sea Beach Police Station in Puri.
Pradhan’s Account
In a letter to the Governor, Pradhan detailed the incident, stating that he was supervising preparations for the visit of President Droupadi Murmu. He claimed that Kumar used offensive language and physically assaulted him when he objected. Pradhan also alleged that Kumar threatened his life.
Wife’s Statement
Pradhan’s wife, Sayoj, alleged that the assault occurred because Kumar was not provided with a luxury car due to the President’s visit. She stated that her husband was badly injured and that the Governor did not respond well when approached.

There has been no response from the Governor’s office or Lalit Kumar regarding these allegations.
