Odisha Government Forms Task Force for New Education Policy 2020

The government of Odisha has restructured a task force to guide the implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This was announced by the School and Mass Education Department. The Development Commissioner cum Additional Chief Secretary will lead the efforts to implement NEP 2020 in the state.

The task force includes 13 Ex-Officio members such as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Department of School and Mass Education, Principal Secretaries from various departments including ST and SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare, Finance, and others. Additionally, expert members from organizations like UNICEF, CSF, Akshara Foundation, Language Learning Foundation, and PRATHAM will participate as special invitees.

Six thematic sub-committees have also been formed to address different aspects of NEP 2020. These sub-committees will include representatives from various departments and educational experts. The Chairperson of the task force has the authority to invite other experts for discussions on specific issues related to the NEP 2020 implementation.
