Odisha Deputy CM KV Singh Deo Announces New Initiatives and Promises
Odisha Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo has announced that the state government has started working on all commitments made in the election manifesto. He stated that the government will begin delivering on these promises in the next few days.
Key Decisions
During a felicitation ceremony for elected ministers, MPs, and MLAs, including the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, KV Singh Deo highlighted several key decisions:
- The four gates of Lord Jagannath Temple were opened within 12 hours of the cabinet decision.
- A Rs 500 crore corpus fund will be provided to the Sri Jagannath Temple Trust, with budgetary allocations to follow.
- The Subhadra Yojana will be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday, September 17.
- The Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 3,100, as promised in the manifesto, will be paid during Kharif and Ravi procurement.
KV Singh Deo also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes Odisha has the potential to become the number 1 state in India, given its mineral resources and manpower. Efforts will be made to reverse the trend of people leaving the state, aiming to make Odisha a developed state along with a developed India.
