Odisha Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo Discusses Government’s First Month Achievements

Odisha Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo announced that from the first day the BJP government took office, they began working on their election promises. The first major decision was to open the gates of the Lord Jagannath temple. On July 12th, the government completed one month in office.

Deo highlighted several key decisions, including creating a Rs 500 crore fund for the Lord Jagannath temple’s necessities and implementing the Subhadra Yojana. The government has also been conducting pre-budget consultation meetings to gather input from various stakeholders. The full budget for 2024-25 is scheduled to be presented on July 25.

The first session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly will commence on July 22, 2024, starting with an address by Odisha Governor Raghubar Das. The session will include discussions on the Governor’s address, the election of the Deputy Speaker, and the presentation of the 2024-25 budget.
