Odisha’s Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, met with ambassadors and association members in New Delhi to discuss the upcoming ‘Make-In-Odisha’ conclave scheduled for January next year. He highlighted Odisha’s strategic location on India’s eastern seaboard, boasting a 480-kilometer coastline, and its emergence as a prime investment destination.

Majhi emphasized Odisha’s rich natural resources, including minerals like iron ore, bauxite, nickel, chromite, and coal, which have positioned the state as a leader in India’s mineral and metal industries. He also noted the state’s skilled workforce, ready to support modern industries.

The Chief Minister outlined Odisha’s diversification into sectors such as apparel, technical textiles, food processing, chemicals, petrochemicals, IT, renewable energy, green fuels, and electronics manufacturing. This shift aligns with Odisha’s vision for sustainable economic development.

Majhi also promoted Odisha’s tourism potential, highlighting its pristine beaches, forests, wildlife sanctuaries, and cultural heritage sites like the Sun Temple at Konark, a UNESCO World Heritage site. He invited attendees to explore investment, trade, and collaboration opportunities in the state.
