On September 19, Odisha’s first BJP government, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, celebrated its 100 days in power with a special event in the temple town of Puri. During the event, CM Majhi highlighted the achievements of his government, emphasizing that the promises made in the 2024 election manifesto have been met in a timely manner.

Key Achievements

The government has taken significant steps, including opening four gates of the Shree Jagannath Temple and creating a Rs 500 crore fund for its management. Additionally, Rs 200 crore has been allocated for the protection of Odia culture.

CM Majhi also announced the launch of the Subhadra Yojana to provide financial support to women, as promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In just 100 days, 71 corruption cases were registered, and 58 government officials were arrested.

Support for Farmers

The government has allocated Rs 5,000 crore in the State Budget to procure paddy at Rs 3,100 per quintal from farmers. The CM Kisan Yojana will soon provide support to eligible farmers who were previously deprived of assistance.

Economic and Healthcare Initiatives

Plans are underway to create an industrial corridor, set up three semiconductor units, and establish FDI Parks and 11 MSME Parks to boost economic growth and provide jobs. The Aayusman Bharat Yojana will soon be introduced to offer healthcare support, complementing the already launched Gopabandhu Arogya Yojna.

The event was attended by Deputy CMs Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, state ministers, BJP State President Manmohan Samal, Odisha BJP In-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar, and other party MPs and MLAs.
