The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the postponement of the Joint CSIR-UGC-NET Examination that was scheduled to take place from June 25 to June 27, 2024. The decision was made due to unavoidable circumstances and logistic issues.

The NTA has advised candidates to regularly check the official website for the revised schedule and any further updates. For any queries, candidates can contact the NTA Help Desk at 011-40759000 or 011-69227700, or email csimet@nta.ac.in.

Earlier, the Education Ministry canceled the UGC-NET held on June 18 to ensure the highest level of transparency and sanctity in the examination process. The matter is now under investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

According to UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, 81% of over 11.21 lakh registered candidates attended the exam in 317 cities across the country.
