Northeast Frontier Railway GM Chetan Kumar Shrivastava Inspects New Bongaigaon Workshop
Bongaigaon (Assam) [India], August 8: Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, the General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway, visited the New Bongaigaon railway workshop in Assam. He was accompanied by Neeraj Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager of Rangiya, and other senior officials.
Inspection of Workshops
During his visit, Shrivastava inspected various facilities including the carriage repair shop, wagon repair shop, LHB component repair shop, LHB Bogie shop, Bearing shop, Train lighting and Air Conditioning shop. He reviewed the ongoing infrastructure upgrades aimed at better maintenance of rolling stocks and discussed yard remodelling for improved marshalling.
Training and Crew Facilities
Shrivastava also visited the supervisor’s training centre to scrutinize the training modules for trainees, who are crucial for safe train operations. Additionally, he inspected the crew lobby at New Bongaigaon station to check the facilities available for Loco Pilots and Assistant Loco Pilots.
Review Meeting
Later, he held a review meeting with workshop officials to discuss various developmental aspects to make the workshop future-ready in line with the speedy modernisation of Indian Railways. His positive assessment reflects the dedication and efforts of Northeast Frontier Railway’s commitment to providing safe, efficient, and comfortable travel experiences for passengers.
