The Northeast Frontier Railway is dedicated to offering the best facilities for its staff, especially Loco Pilots and Assistant Loco Pilots, who play a crucial role in the safe and smooth operation of trains.

Modern Running Rooms

According to Sabyasachi De, the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Northeast Frontier Railway, there are 42 running rooms with modern amenities. These rooms include spacious double bed soundproof rooms with attached toilets, meditation rooms, reading rooms, dining halls, and separate kitchens for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Other facilities include RO purified drinking water, washed linen, solar hot water systems, laundry services, and gyms equipped with modern equipment like whole body and foot massagers, treadmills, and automatic cycles.

Home Away from Home

Sabyasachi De emphasized that these running rooms serve as a home away from home for the Loco Pilots and Assistant Loco Pilots. They often work late hours, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of passengers and essential goods. Proper rest and food are essential for them to remain alert and ensure the safe operation of trains.
