Nitin Gadkari and Odisha CM Review National Highway Projects in Odisha

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, along with Odisha Chief Minister Charan Majhi and senior officials, reviewed the progress of ongoing National Highway projects in Odisha. They were joined by Deputy CM Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and other officials.

Earlier, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Gadkari in New Delhi to discuss ongoing and proposed road projects to improve connectivity in Uttarakhand. Dhami emphasized the need for better road infrastructure and requested notifications for six routes upgraded to National Highway status in 2016.

Nitin Gadkari, a seasoned politician, has held various significant positions. He started as a student leader and later joined the BJP’s youth wing. Gadkari has been a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council since 1989 and served as the leader of the opposition from 1999-2005. He became the youngest-ever BJP national president in 2009 and has held the position of Minister of Road Transport and Highways since 2014.
