Nirmala Sitharaman to Present Seventh Union Budget on July 23

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2024-25 on July 23, marking her seventh consecutive budget presentation. The budget session will run from July 22 to August 12.

Sitharaman has been consulting with economists, industry representatives, and agriculture experts. The Confederation of Indian Industry has requested increased capital expenditure.

The BJP-led NDA government, in its third term, had earlier announced an 11.1% increase in capital expenditure for the next year.
