New Delhi [India], July 23: A 26-year-old civil service aspirant named Nilesh Rai died of electrocution near the Patel Nagar metro station on July 22. Nilesh, who lived in a PG in Patel Nagar, was found stuck to an iron gate due to an electric current near Power Gym, Patel Nagar metro station.

The police received information about the incident at PS Ranjit Nagar at around 2:43 PM. Upon reaching the spot, they discovered that Nilesh had been electrocuted due to an electric current in the gate, which was also surrounded by water logging. He was immediately taken to RML Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

A case has been registered at the Ranjit Nagar Police Station under Section 106(1), 285 BNS. Forensic teams have visited the scene, and an investigation is ongoing. Further details are awaited.
