On Tuesday, the Nifty at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened slightly up at 24,839.40, gaining 3.30 points or 0.01%. Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex opened slightly down at 81349.30, losing 6.56 points or 0.01%.

Varun Aggarwal, MD of Profit Idea, noted that despite a small negative candle on the Nifty 50’s daily chart, the overall uptrend remains intact. Ajay Bagga, a market and banking expert, mentioned that foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have been cutting positions, affecting the market. He expects this trend to continue until the Bank of Japan (BOJ) and Federal Reserve (Fed) events conclude.

Global Market Overview

Global markets were mixed, with Asian indices trading lower and US indices showing mixed results. The Dow Jones fell by 0.12% to 40,539.93, while the S&P 500 gained 0.08% to 5,463.54, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.07% to 17,370.20. Tesla and McDonald’s saw significant gains, while Coinbase and Riot Platforms declined.

Crude oil prices hovered near a seven-week low amid concerns over demand, particularly from China. The US dollar index rose by 0.18% to 104.56, awaiting global central bank policy decisions.
