NIA Seizes Property of Terror Suspect Adil Manzoor Langoo in Kashmir
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken a significant step in dismantling the terror network in Kashmir by seizing the property of Adil Manzoor Langoo, a major suspect linked to ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF), an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). This action is connected to the tragic killing of two non-locals in Srinagar’s Shala Kadal in February.
The property, located in Srinagar’s Zaldagar, was seized under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The NIA discovered the weapon used in the crime along with ammunition on the 10 Marlas property, which had been transferred to Langoo’s father and others by the original owner.
Langoo, along with Ahran Rasool Dar and Dawood, allegedly conspired under the guidance of their TRF and LeT handler based in Pakistan to spread terror and incite violence in India. Following the February 7 killings, Langoo was arrested on February 12 and later charged in August. He is currently in Central Jail Srinagar, facing trial under various legal sections.
TRF, emerging in 2019 as a proxy of LeT, is recognized as a terrorist organization responsible for numerous attacks on non-local civilians and Indian security forces in Kashmir.
