NIA Investigates Recent Train Accidents in India

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is looking into four recent railway track accidents in India. As of now, no signs of sabotage have been identified, but the investigation is still ongoing. These incidents have raised concerns as they involved dangerous objects like gas cylinders and boulders placed on tracks. The latest accident under investigation is the Mysuru-Darbhanga Bagmati Express incident in Tamil Nadu on October 12. Earlier, on September 22, a goods train driver from Kanpur to Prayagraj spotted a gas cylinder on the track and stopped the train in time. Additionally, on September 15, a damaged cylinder and a Molotov cocktail were found on a track meant for the Kalindi Express.

Mysuru-Darbhanga Bagmati Express -: This is a train that travels between Mysuru in Karnataka and Darbhanga in Bihar. It is named after the Bagmati River.

Molotov cocktail -: A Molotov cocktail is a type of homemade bomb made using a glass bottle filled with flammable liquid. It is dangerous and can cause fires.
