NIA Investigates Reasi Pilgrims Terror Attack in Jammu and Kashmir
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi and Rajouri districts as part of the investigation into the Reasi pilgrims terror attack. The searches targeted the homes of hybrid terrorists and Overground Workers (OGWs) who provided support to terrorists.
On June 9, terrorists attacked a bus carrying pilgrims from Shiv Khori to Katra, causing the bus to fall into a gorge. The attack resulted in nine deaths, including a child, and left over 30 others injured. The NIA took over the investigation on June 15 and has since conducted multiple searches, uncovering evidence linking the terrorists and OGWs.
