Key Leaders Arrested and Incriminating Evidence Seized

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted search operations at seven locations in Bihar’s Kaimur and Rohtas districts. The searches led to the seizure of digital devices, documents, and live ammunition.

The operation is connected to the arrest of two key CPI (Maoist) leaders, Vijay Kumar Arya and Umesh Chaudhary, in April 2022. During their arrest, levy receipts, naxal pamphlets, and digital devices were seized.

Three more suspects, Anil Yadav, Rajesh Kumar Gupta, and Rupesh Kumar Singh, are also in custody. The seized items are being examined for further clues on the group’s activities.
